To use the Test Send utility proceed with the following steps

1) Log onto to a machine as the Good service account. It would be best for that machine to be the Good Server but it isn't essential.

2) Create a test MAPI profile for a test user. You may use NTWMS, Outlook, or ManageProfile from GoodTools to create a test MAPI profile.

3) Click here to download testsend.zip and then extract the files into a temp directory, such as c:\temp\

4) Open a command prompt (Start > Run > type cmd and hit OK)

5) Navigate to the temp directory where the script was saved. Example: cd c:\temp (hit enter).

6) In the command prompt type the following: c:\temp>testsendmail <"profile name"> <email address to send to>
Example: c:\temp>testsendmail "test" mpenland@good.com

==>SUCCESS: If the test is successful seven email messages will show up in the user's mailbox sent from the problem user's profile.

==>FAILURE: If the test is not successful, an error will be reported. If the test fails please report a screen shot of the errors.
Example failure:
C:\testsend>testsendmail "Bad Profile" bad@address.com
2003-10-16 12:19:41 -07:00 Monitor Debug MonitorInitializing
MAPILogonEx failed: 80040111
